PaperMantis is a prediction market research sandbox. It tests strategies on recorded data and follows new markets with virtual money. It does not place real trades or require a Polymarket account.
Information we use
- When you sign in, we receive your verified email address and, when available, your name and profile photo from the sign-in provider. We use them to identify your account.
- We store the strategies you save, their settings and results, your virtual portfolio and trades, and your tour preference so they remain available when you return.
- If you send feedback, we store your message, the page it came from, and an optional screenshot. We may receive your email address with the message so we can reply.
- We record account creation and sign-in times and counts to operate and protect the service. Our hosting and delivery providers may process technical request data such as IP addresses and browser information.
Sign-in and service providers
Clerk provides email and social sign-in. If you choose Google or Microsoft, that provider handles the sign-in step and shares the account details described above. We use hosting, security, and email delivery providers to run PaperMantis and handle feedback. We do not connect to your Polymarket trading account.
Cookies and storage
PaperMantis uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in. The sign-in provider may also use cookies needed for authentication. The app uses browser storage for interface preferences and some local work in progress.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time and pause or archive saved strategies in the app. To ask about your data, request a copy, or request deletion of your account and associated data, write to [email protected]. Some records may need to be kept for security or legal reasons; we will explain that if it applies.
