Turn a hunch into evidence

Live Markets shows what is happening now. Builder and Discover test recorded history. Portfolio keeps new virtual results separate.

Observe

See what is happening now

See live Polymarket UP and DOWN quotes beside Binance spot prices. Explore BTC, ETH, and SOL markets and their price charts.

Build

Test the rule you have in mind

Choose entry price, timing, direction, and other rules. Replay them against recorded markets, then inspect the chart and individual virtual trades.

Discover

Find a rule with Discover

Choose a market and search bounds. Compare candidate rules across separate time blocks, with charts and trade evidence visible for each result.

Follow

Follow the rule on new markets

Save a compatible rule as a frozen paper strategy. Portfolio tracks new virtual trades separately, so you can review performance, pause, or archive it.

From a market idea to a paper strategy

Take a BTC five-minute idea as an example. The historical test tells you what happened before; Portfolio shows a separate record of new virtual results.

  4. 04

A few good questions

Does PaperMantis place real trades?

No. Builder and Discover test rules on historical data. Portfolio follows strategies using virtual money.

Do I need a Polymarket account?

No. Sign in to use the sandbox. You do not need to connect a Polymarket account.

What can I do in Builder?

Choose a market, date range, entry and exit rules, then run a historical simulation. You can inspect the chart and individual trades before saving a compatible rule.

How is Discover different from Builder?

Builder tests a rule you configure. Discover searches rule combinations within your chosen asset, period, and search bounds, then shows the candidates and their historical evidence.

What does a profitable backtest tell me?

It shows how a rule behaved on recorded markets. It does not tell you what the rule will earn later. Check the data coverage and compare it with separate forward paper results.

How do Portfolio results differ from a backtest?

A backtest replays recorded markets. Portfolio tracks a frozen rule on new markets using virtual money. The two records stay separate so you can compare what happened before and after you added it.

Can I pause or archive a strategy?

Yes. You can pause a paper strategy to stop new virtual entries or archive it when you no longer want it in your active list. Its recorded results remain available.

Can every tested rule enter Portfolio?

No. Forward paper tracking currently supports compatible five- and fifteen-minute rules, subject to available data and service coverage. The app shows when a rule is not eligible.

Which markets and periods are available?

Recorded coverage varies by asset, market duration, and UTC period. Check Data Coverage in the app for the exact history available for BTC, ETH, and SOL.

Are simulated prices guaranteed fills?

No. Historical tests use observed quotes under stated execution assumptions. A quoted price does not guarantee that a real order would have filled at that price.
